Korean Men and Addiction to Buying Sex

I read the below article at an Australian news website. I know that buying sex was popular in some of the Asian countries but I did not know it was considered a male bonding experience. It sounds very gay to me that men need to buy eachother a sexual experience in order to bond with each other. Don't you think? Here is the article:

No sex please we're Korean

THE South Korean Government is handing out gifts for office workers who promise not to visit brothels this holiday season.

"If you promise yourself to make it a healthy night out at the end of the year, and if you recommend this to others, we are giving lots of prizes," the Ministry of Gender Equality said in an internet posting.

The ministry is offering to pay companies whose employees pledge not to buy sex after what are typically alcohol-soaked, year-end parties.

A ministry spokesman confirmed the campaign but declined to answer questions about it.

But a ministry official told the Korea Times daily: "Korean corporate culture that includes heavy drinking is also what makes buying sex acceptable as a way for male-bonding, which is proving to be a hard-to-break ritual."

The ministry is offering movie tickets based on the number of employees who pledge not to visit prostitutes as well as a cash prize of 1 million won ($1365) for the company which enlists the most employees in the campaign.

Many South Koreans were bewildered by the plan, saying it was a waste of money and gave the impression that South Korean men cannot keep away from brothels.

"Do they really think men buy sex every time they have a dinner party?" wrote one Korean on a comment page of the South Korea's largest daily Chosun Ilbo.

Sisters (11 and 15) Found Dead in Turkey

Izmir, Turkey. In a city called Izmir in Turkey, on Monday, a body was discovered by a few people. The body which was found on the street near a high rise apartment building, belongs to an 11 year-old girl. Police, after investigating the body found out that the girl used to live in that same high-rise building. When the police entered in to the little girl's apartment, they found another young girl's body (15 years old) who was identified as the 11 year-old girl's sister. Both bodies were stabbed multiple times and the younger sister was thrown from the balcony of the building after being stabbed. Today police reported that they have caught the killer who happenes to be the 15 year old cousin of the young sisters.

I think this horrifying incident becomes even worse when you figure out that a 15 year-old cousin can be capable of executing such a horrible crime. Waht an anger? The world is getting more and more dangerous every damn day that we should even be afraid of an innocent looking 15 year-old who can possibly stab us multiple times and then throw us down from our balcony. I am not trying to get anybody to become paranoids but clearly things like this can happen anywhere around the world. The sad thing is that the cousin will probably be prosecuted as a minor which means he will end up being free on the streets very soon. And he will probably be much older thus stronger (with some jail-training) which will enable him to throw heavier victims from the balcony next time.
