China Bombing the Birds for a Brighter Day

My dear friend who is the author of the blog http://www.spotsindeed.com/ called me tonight. He was excited to tell me that he read about how China during the 2008 Olympic Games, is planning to zap the rain clouds with rockets. It clearly is a very interesting method to deal with weather. I decided to use my old WNFGI (Why Not F...G Google It?) method to further clarify this issue.

I found out that what China is planning to do is the reverse of a more common practice; Cloud-seeding. According to Wikipedia,

Cloud seeding, a form of weather modification, is the attempt to change the amount or type of precipitation that falls from clouds, by dispersing substances into the air that serve as cloud condensation or ice nuclei.

So it looks like China is planning to come up with another innovative technology to reverse cloud-seeding. I do not know about you but after seeing what they are capable of doing with all the fish in a lake, I feel confident that they will find the most environmentally sensitive method to achieve their brilliant weather forecasts for the Olympics 2008.

Otherwise, they will have to find a few Chinese men to collect the dead birds falling of the air. After all, they would not allow a few dead birds to ruin the games on a sunny and clear day.
