Oprah Makes 10,000 Times More Than You

I saw an article at Reuters website today. The title of the article was "Oprah Tops List of Highest Paid TV Stars". It was not shocking for me as it may not be for you either, although I honestly never understood what the big deal is with Ms. Winfrey. I guess there are still millions of people out there who believe the exact opposite of this. As a result, this lady is taking home an estimated amount of $260 Million a year.

After seeing how much she makes, I felt terribly sorry for the 5th person on the list of highest paid TV Stars: Poor little Zach Braff (Scrubs) who ONLY makes $6.3 Million a year. I made a quick calculation and realized that Oprah Winfrey is making 41 times more than Mr. Braff. Just as I was I thinking how humiliating this should be for Zach, I made another calculation. Soon I found out that she is making 10,000 times more than a person who works for minimum wage. This means whoever wants to hire Oprah Winfrey, is also capable of hiring 10,000 US citizens or 41 Zach Braffs.
