Jim Leyrits Charged with DUI Earlier Today
Former Major Leaguer Jim Leyritz, a member of the New York Yankees championship teams in the 1990s, was charged with DUI homicide due to crash in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. According to MLB website, Ft. Laudardale police stated that Leyritz was driving a 2006 Ford Expedition when he collided at an intersection with a 30-year-old woman driving a 2000 Mitsubishi. The woman was ejected from the car. She was critically injured and transported to the Broward General Medical Center, where she died. Jim Leyritz who recently celebrated his 44th birthday can face upto 15 years of jail time if got convicted.

another athlete killing someone!im so tired of these rich so called role models getting away with murder!that means you too stallworth!my friend got 90 days in jail for driving on suspended licence!and people murder people,and get 30 days in jail!whats wrong with this picture?i know its all about the money,but these victims have families who they will never see them again!it turns my stomach!!
